The RCIA Adapted for Children, sometimes referred to as the RCIC, is the initiation process for all children, 7 years old and older, who have not been baptized. It is a two-year program that follows the stages of the RCIA but is adapted for the understanding and maturity level of children ages 7 and older. At the end of the two-year preparation the children are accepted into full communion with the Catholic Church. They receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil.

The children and their parents attend a weekly, one hour session. During the second year, we attend the 12:00 Mass together. The children are dismissed after the homily for “breaking open the Word”. The dismissal sessions start on the 2nd Sunday of Advent.
