The Quinceanera celebration is an important traditional Hispanic celebration for a young person turning fifteen years of age.  It is typically a celebration of gratitude to God for the gift of life. During the special celebration, blessings are given often accompanied by the gifts of religious items. The celebration offers both the young woman and her family and friends an opportunity to reflect on the way their Catholic faith is lived.  It is a time to recognize, affirm and support the youth in meeting the challenges that life brings based on their faith and family values.
